This is too little too late. Robert was a cheerleader for Johnson even though it was obvious to many that he was wholly unsuited to the job. When the dodgy contracts were being handed out he was in the thick of it. His own department had to admit in court that he acted unlawfully. His letter today is driven entirely by self interest. It is an attempt to save his own political skin.
